Some folks argue that the “hidden job market” is not true.

I’m here to tell you it is.

In fact, most professionals who reach the top level in their careers find this out quickly if they unexpectedly lose their jobs.

It can be shocking and frustrating to be laid off  - but imagine being laid off and seeing very few jobs posted to apply to…

It’s said that up to approximately 80% of executive leadership-level jobs may never hit the marketplace. They are filled either through a confidential search or through network connections and underground opportunities.

AKA: The Hidden Job Market

So, how do you tap into it?

🎯 You invest time and energy into building connections.  The best time to do this is BEFORE you need them!

🎯 You connect with industry-specific and generalized recruiters in your space so that they can notify you of any opportunities you might be a great fit for (this is also good, even if you are employed—you never know what could pop up!)

🎯 You keep your LinkedIn profile up to date and complete so that if a confidential search is conducted, you will appear in the search results.

My team often works on confidential executive searches, and there is nothing we love more than having a warm network of high-level leaders to share them with!
