Which typically means it's peak season in hiring!

Here are my top 3 pieces of advice for job seekers in this market:

  1. Make sure that your contact info is updated and that your LinkedIn profile settings are NOT set to hidden or 1st connections only.

You'd be amazed at how many people have their full name hidden or outdated contact information on their profiles. If you are open to opportunities, make it easy for folks to connect with you

  1. Be open to hearing about an opportunity rather than automatically declining it - You never know as job security isn't really security.

I get it—not every opportunity is the right fit. However, you'd be surprised what may come of it.

a) Actually be interested and excited about a new opportunity even when you weren't looking

b) Be able to recommend someone in your network and community that may be a better fit

c) Build a relationship with a recruiter and be on their radar when the right opportunity comes up

All wins in my book!

  1. Continue to leverage your network, have conversations, and make deposits into relationships.

The best time to plant seeds for future opportunities is NOW, meaning to continue building your network, relationships, and connections.

Yes, this job market is tough, but you are tougher. Hiring Managers and Recruiters WANT you to be a fit for the roles they are hiring for, so remember that we are here to help land your next venture ahead.

Happy hunting! I'm sending good vibes your way to land and secure your next venture!
