If you want to know one way to maximize your LinkedIn profile - this post is for you!

When I want to learn more about someone and who they are on LinkedIn, I check out your “About Me” section.

Don’t underestimate the value this section has to offer.

You may not need a new opportunity today.

But, making the effort to maximize this area on your LinkedIn could add significant value to you.

Think of it as marketing yourself to attract new folks your network, community, and opportunities that would add value to you.

I’ve been asked what the best practices are to include in this section.

Think about it like this…

→  What are you known for in your industry, and what is your differentiator?

→  What is your specialty and craft that you are able to deliver and execute?

→  What is your character like in your voice?

→  How would you describe your leadership management style?

→  What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

→  What inspires and energizes you?

Essentially, it’s a blend of what makes you YOU: strategically and creatively combining your experience, leadership style, and personality.

What sets you apart from the other folks in your industry who have held the same title?

That is what I want to know, and it will motivate me to call you about a new opportunity!
